  Relatively small shopping area with a good selection of shops for the area. The main shop is the Tresco but a few other shops to compliment. Parking is free which is pleasant

  Interesting local shopping facility seemingly designed by a committee of people who have servants to shop for them. This wierdness actually has it's own charm! The mixture of shops meet most basic needs, the M&S and Tesco stores being well supported by other local shops. The hugely busy atmosphere and friendliness of the shoppers reflect the affluence of the area. Lots of generously stocked Charity Shops are a tribute to the generosity of the neighbourhood and reflect 21st century lifestyles rapidly changing "must haves". Well worth a look round. Toilets are noticeably missing from the mix, being boarded up. It's necessary to rely on retailer facilities, which exist but are under pressure. The place to meet up is the Costa coffee shop. Ultra busy, with the most popular toilet in the complex, the drinks, food and staff are well up to corporate standard. Some of the vast cashflow really should be spent on keeping that battered washroom up to scratch. The M&S cafe is totally at the other end of the spectrum: unfriendly and not a place to linger. For a decent cheap meal the local Subway can't be criticized. But the Chippie can't be ignored either! This place is worthy of PhD study because of the contrasts and the way it's used, despite the 'best' efforts of those designers!
